Description
Sound description: The No Bozo Liars Club has been described as bohemian blues or modern folk, yet they claim “It’s all just rock and roll.” Mati Mat has played and sang for such punk groups as The Strangers, The 8-ups, The Bad touch, and has two albums under his own name “Mati Mat.” Reverend Digg has played his harp amongst such legends as Hank The Third, Ernie Locke, and Bob Wayne and the Carnie Outlaws. And before her music career began Dawn Yonder was, and still is a professional hula hooper and belly dancer who could be found performing amongst such groups as The Porn Huskers. The No Bozo Liars Club capture what most have thought to be gone from music forever; freedom, truth, and life as endless party. To say it in their own words: “Someday we’re all gonna die, go ahead and give it a try.”
Influences: GG Allin, Hank Williams, Hound Dog Taylor, Lou Reed, The Black Lips, Bob Dylan

History
One thing about the members of The No Bozo Liars club is that none of the members can quite remember just how it got started. Singer songwriter Mati Mat had been playing The Newsroom on Tuesday nights as a solo act for a stretch of time. The Reverend Digg would pop in and out again blaring his harmonica on various songs. Somewhere along the way Dawn appeared with a tambourine in hand. Weeks or days went by, somewhere through a cloud of smoke and spilt drinks the decision was made to form a band. Having played together quite of a few times at The Newsroom, The No Bozo Liars Club decided to cut a five song cd for $17.50. With the attention gaining success of such songs as “The safety word is” and “Missie B’s” they immediately hit the road to neighboring towns and are headed next month to Austin Texas to play the annual music festival “South By Southwest”
