Cool Flyers: Dropout Boogie / Jert

The inaugural Cool Flyer award goes to Jert, who designed the illustration for the weekly Dropout Boogie record party that takes place every Friday at Gusto in Midtown. Jert has some great stuff on his site as well.
Using some spot illustrations from Jert's art, Chris — one of the Dropout Boogie DJs and a record salesman at Streetside Records — actually created a new label promoting the event and stuck them to old 45s. I haven't actually been to the event yet, but judging by the art, description and the Captain Beefheart reference, I'm guessing it will be a great time.
