Alumni roamed the halls of Westport High School one last time on Friday, May 28. The school, which is nearing it's 103rd birthday, will close its doors this week as part of the Kansas City School District's "right sizing" plan.

Westport High School's former students say the decision to close the school's doors was bittersweet. Some alumni said closing Westport, along with other Kansas City schools, could begin to solve the district's problems.

Alumni returned to Westport High School to mingle with classmates, take photos and say goodbye to a school that defined many of their lives.
