Jay Senter served as KCFreePress.com's Executive Editor from the site's launch in December 2009 until June 16th of 2010. While completing his Master’s degree in journalism at the University of Kansas, Senter worked as a reporter for the Lawrence Journal-World, which has gained a national reputation for its forward-thinking approach to Web journalism. More recently, Senter served as the Communications Manager at Common Sense Media, a San Francisco-based non-profit organization that works to ensure that modern media and technology are a positive part of family life. In 2008 and 2009, Jay and his wife served as Peace Corps volunteers in Panama. His writing has appeared in USA Today, The Kansas City Star and on Yahoo! Sports, among others.
