A writer and editor from the Kansas City area, Wetzel has written articles for The Kansas City Star and the Lawrence Journal-World. Prior to KCFreePress.com, he spent three years in the editorial department at Universal Press Syndicate in Kansas City, where he copy edited features and combed through piles of comics submissions. He earned degrees in journalism, English and German from the University of Kansas and spent two years studying and traveling in Germany.
